Let's take a step towards Bat Canh Son, a complex of scenic relics located in Tuong Linh commune, Kim Bang district, Ha Nam. Tuong Linh commune is blessed by nature with a unique terrain, full of development potential. That's why the Bat Canh Son range was created as a masterpiece of nature, standing majestically on the banks of the Day River, leaning back on the Nam Cong arc, creating a unique and attractive mountain and river position. Not only is it a scenic relic, Bat Canh Son is also a tourist cluster of the Huong Son complex because they are closely adjacent to each other. According to geographical location, Bat Canh Son is the gate opening to the world of Huong Son, located at the intersection of three districts: Kim Bang (Ha Nam), My Duc, Ung Hoa (Hanoi).

Bat Canh Son includes many different places for visitors to visit. The first is Tien Ong Temple (Ong Temple), a spiritual architectural masterpiece built during the reign of King Tran Nhan Tong, standing tall on the top of Tuong Linh mountain at a height of about 200m, shaped like a kneeling monkey lying on its back. dress. Tien Ong Temple has a unique architecture with a triangle shape, including a front hall with 5 compartments, a middle hall with 3 compartments and a harem with 1 compartment. The special thing is that this place still preserves many historical relics, from horizontal panels, great letters, parallel sentences to incense bowls made of stone and bronze. Tien Ong Temple is a place to worship the Great Tutelary God of Heavenly Patriarch Thien Vuong Bodhisattva and is the place where a mysterious story is passed down. According to legend, Tien Ong's father, a Tran Dynasty mandarin, still had no son after 23 concubines. When he went on a business trip to Thinh Dai commune (now Dai Cuong commune), he took 24 concubines before giving birth to Tien Ong. When he was born, Tien Ong had an unusual appearance, until he grew up he only single-mindedly worshiped Buddha. He traveled everywhere to study Buddhism and stopped at Quang Thua (now Tuong Linh commune) because the Bat Canh Son range here was so beautiful and majestic. He immediately built a pagoda at the foot of Tam Giao mountain to worship Buddha, ancestors and parents called Tam Giao pagoda. To local people, he is like a god. He helped the poor, healed the sick, saved people,... When he died, he transformed into the "Dai Nai" tree and advised to use that wood to carve statues for worship, and use bronze to carve statues to worship gods. Therefore, the statues are very sacred, no matter whether they go through war or anything else, no one can touch them. Like when Nguyen Huu Chinh brought the statue to mint money but could not touch the statue. For tourists and local residents, the full moon day of June every year is an opportunity for the two villages of Thinh Dai and Quang Thua to organize festivals honoring the Immortals, attracting a large number of visitors from all over to attend in a solemn atmosphere. and solemnly.

Next is Ong Pagoda, right in front of Tien Ong temple gate is a large semicircular lake surrounding the north of Tuong Linh mountain. The lake's area is up to 320 acres, the water in the lake is maintained throughout the year, with an average depth ranging from 4 to 5m. According to legend, in the past, in the middle of the lake, there existed a pagoda known as Ong Pagoda. However, in 1901, due to the impact of a flood, the old temple was swept away and disappeared into the water. Today, this lake is home to many types of large fish, creating a unique ecological environment. The large water surface area creates favorable conditions for yachting and fishing activities, providing entertaining and relaxing experiences for visitors.

From Tien Ong temple, go along the mountainside about 1km and you will see Tam Giao pagoda. Tam Giao Pagoda previously owned hundreds of pagoda rooms and hundreds of extremely majestic and magnificent Buddha statues. Besides, the construction was carried out by many workers and placed at the foot of the mountain, where there is a stream of water flowing from the heart of the mountain. Every day this stream flows out two bowls of rice and two coins, although not much, but enough for the monk to live. Then, a greedy person found out about this so he widened the mouth of the stream, and since then this resource has been lost, rice and money no longer flow. During the resistance war against the French, Tam Giao Pagoda became an important base of operations for the Central and Provincial leaders. In the past, from Tien Ong Temple to Tam Giao Pagoda, there were many beautiful caves, but due to human exploitation and natural fluctuations, many caves were destroyed. But recently, Tam Giao Pagoda has been restored, retaining its unique beauty. The architecture is shaped like a nail, with 5 main halls and a harem, the main house is built with 8 roofs stacked with matchsticks, covered with male tiles, creating a solemn and solemn spiritual picture.

Finally, Bat Canh Son also includes 6 pagodas: Kieu Pagoda, Ba Pagoda, Dau Pagoda, Ca Pagoda, Bong Pagoda, Van Mong Pagoda. All pagodas form a sacred complex, but unfortunately to this day, 6 pagodas have all disappeared, some have been razed and some only have the foundations left.

Bat Canh Son is famous not only for its wonderful landscapes but also for its outstanding talents. Among the 5 academicians in Kim Bang district, there are 3 people from Tuong Linh. This place is also known as the place where the betel and areca story originated, with Cau stream in the limestone mountains (now known as Tan Lang stream) and betel market (now Dau market).
