Opening Ceremony of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025
On the evening of May 12, the Opening Ceremony of Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025 was solemnly held at the Festival Park Square, located within Sun Urban City, Ha Nam Province. This event not only marked a significant provincial milestone but also represented a strategic leap forward in promoting Ha Nam’s image across the country and the region.
The ceremony welcomed a large number of distinguished guests from both central and local levels, including representatives of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party, leaders of the Ha Nam People’s Committee, as well as delegates from neighboring provinces such as Nam Dinh and Ninh Binh. Thousands of residents and visitors also gathered to witness the occasion. The prestige of the event was further amplified by live national broadcast on VTV1, and coverage across digital platforms of Ha Nam News, Ninh Binh Radio & Television, and Nam Dinh Newspaper.

The opening segment featured the announcement and presentation of the Prime Minister's decision to recognize three new National Treasures and two newly listed National Historical Sites in Ha Nam. Notable among them were:
- The Vu Ban bronze drum – a rare artifact from the Dong Son culture;
- Six Vajra Warrior statues from Doi Son Pagoda – masterpieces of Ly Dynasty sculpture;
- The stone gong from Dieu Pagoda – a unique 17th-century work of religious art.
Immediately following the recognition ceremony, Mr. Truong Quoc Huy – Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Ha Nam People's Committee – delivered the opening speech. He emphasized that the 2025 Culture and Tourism Week, themed "Radiant Ha Nam", is not only a celebration of local heritage, but also a chance to showcase Ha Nam as a dynamic, attractive, and culturally rich destination.
Ha Nam currently preserves a rich trove of nearly 2,000 historical sites, including 2 Special National Relics and 7 National Treasures. Nature has also blessed this land with majestic rivers, mountains, and caves, such as the vast Tam Chuc Lake, poetic Ba Hang Lake, the imposing Cam Mountain, and the tranquil Doi Son Range.
Thanks to significant investment in infrastructure and effective regional tourism linkages (especially with Hanoi and Ninh Binh), Ha Nam has also attracted major investors. Projects like Sun World Ha Nam and one of Vietnam’s longest musical fountain stages have elevated the province’s tourism profile. All of these efforts demonstrate Ha Nam’s determination to become a new cultural and tourism hub in Northern Vietnam.
Following the opening speech, the grand art program titled “Radiant Ha Nam” officially began. Divided into three thematic acts, the show took audiences on a journey of pride and inspiration:

- Act I – “Ha Nam: Land of Sacred Rivers and Mountains”: This section brought viewers back to the legendary lands of Doi Son, Chau River, and Tam Chuc, echoing the spiritual and cultural legacy of the province through traditional melodies and rustic folk songs.
- Act II – “Breath of the Present”: Offering a modern portrayal of a renewed, creative, and integrated Ha Nam, this act presented traditional values in a fresh, youthful expression. Contemporary arrangements of songs like “Dao Lieu”, “The Phoenix’s Wings”, and “A Thousand Vietnamese Dreams” vividly conveyed the modern heartbeat of a traditional land.
- Act III – “Heartbeat of the Future”: A powerful finale, expressing Ha Nam’s vision for advancement in culture, economy, and tourism. It reflected the province’s strong aspiration to rise higher, reach further, and shine brighter.
The night of May 12 was more than a ceremonial event—it became a symbolic bridge between past and present, between cultural identity and modern integration. With this resounding success, the Ha Nam Culture and Tourism Week 2025 promises to deliver more vibrant cultural experiences, further elevating the province’s brand and cementing Ha Nam’s position on Vietnam’s cultural and tourism map.
